MAGIC GARDEN 2025 OPEN CALL for young artists
Rudavsky’s Magic Garden is excited to announce the Open Call for the Magic Garden Festival 2025, which will take place in June 2025. The primary aim of this Open Call is to create a platform that connects the emerging contemporary generation of artists with the established artists of previous generations. The goal is to showcase their works within one unique piece that will be featured during the festival.
We aim to provide space primarily for emerging artists, as well as students from art schools, and to support their creative endeavors. This is an opportunity to engage with the art community and build connections with seasoned professionals.
This Open Call is part of a remarkable exhibition concept that we will soon present to the public. It involves a existing collective installation, where the selected participants will have the opportunity to contribute their work to a larger collective piece. While the project is open to all media (ex: paint, lithography, digital media, photography, textile, sculpture, etc.), the work created must be tailored to the specific object or size and reflect the core concept of the exhibition. This concept was developed by an artist who will showcase their project in our garden this year, and your contributions will be a part of this wider artistic collection during the time of the festival. Artists selected for the exhibition will be responsible for financing their own production, printing, and/or any other materials required for their installation. This includes all costs associated with creating the artwork and preparing it for display within the deadline.

DEADLINE
The Open Call applications are accepted until March 31, 2025. Successful applicants will be notified of the results during the first week of April.
WHO IS THE OPEN CALL ADDRESSED TO?
You must be a student in an art field or an emerging artist from Slovakia or abroad, up to 26 years old.

Important: If selected, it is necessary to complete the project by the beginning of June. You will have a two-month period from the time of selection to the festival date to finish your installation.
